Student activity leaders from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, recently convened at The Retreat at Balcones Springs for a 2-day event of meetings, speakers, team-building activities, and Hill Country recreation. The SALT (Student Activity Leadership Team) Retreat featured multiple breakout sessions throughout our campus, a keynote speaker in our Rio Grande dining hall, and several meetings and team-building games across the property. Students were also able to relax with plenty of downtime, soaking up the sun in Lake Ted, hiking to our scenic overlook on Lake Travis, and stargazing around an evening bonfire.
Some comments from our Baylor guests include:
I felt like you all were excited that we were here, and that made it fun.
The cabins were extremely well-kept and had everything we could have needed.
The hike was wonderful, and every staff member was very kind.
The food was amazing, and the yoga session was great!
Thank you for visiting, Baylor! Although the Retreat at Balcones Springs finds its home in Burnt Orange Country, we always welcome a friendly group of bears to our property. 🙂 Best of luck with this school year — we hope it’s a great one!
