Brides of Austin magazine is one of the leading publications for wedding inspiration in Texas – earning it a highly coveted reputation in the South for elegance, class, and creativity. So understandably, we were beyond thrilled when Dana Padgett of the BoA team reached out to The Retreat at Balcones Springs as a potential staging location for a spread in their fall/winter issue.
The mission of the magazine is simple, “to connect brides planning Austin weddings to the most talented wedding vendors across the Hill Country.” And without a doubt, that mission was accomplished. Not only is the team at BoA incredibly sweet and spirited, but they masterfully assembled an all star cast to help make this shoot an over-the-top success. And as any aesthetic masterpiece usually requires, it all started with a great design. Kate Goddard, owner of Wild Sky Events was the creative brain behind the shoot which would feature stunning seating arrangements and table designs all in a dreamy outdoor setting. Joining Kate was Feather and Twine photography, Unbridaled wedding dresses and jewelry, Archer and Olive stationery, lights and tent from Indie House Event Rentals, flowers from Gypsy Floral and Events, flatware from Premiere Events, furniture, tableware, and decor from Loot Vintage Rentals, and cake & cookies from Simply Delicious Custom Cakes. And of course, it all came together on our beautiful canvas at Balcones Springs.
Thank you to Brides of Austin magazine and to everyone who made this shoot possible. We are so thrilled and honored to have worked with all of you. Pick up the latest issue of Brides of Austin and flip to pages 153-157 to see how it all came together!
